We have some very exciting news this month!
Revival Retreat is to launch a brand new salon and beauty academy in the city centre.
The new salon will boast relaxation rooms for facial and massage treatments, dedicated waxing rooms, nail bars, brow and lash bars, a spray tanning booth and make-up stations.
Customers will also have access to the New York-imported luxury pedicure spa chairs which are hugely popular at the Byres Road salon.
Office workers will be targeted with 30-minute express treatments and 8am – 9pm opening hours on peak days.
A key feature in the new salon, will be the beauty academy, offering fully accredited evening and weekend courses in everything from aromatherapy candle massage to make-up and specialized waxing.
The day spa is scheduled to open in Renfield Street in late May/early June next to Sartis and will be the only stand-alone beauty salon in the city centre.
Seven new beauty therapists are being recruited to run the new salon as well as two receptionists.
The appointments have already proved popular with 400 applicants applying for one reception post.
Revival Retreat Byres Road opened in 2003 and has notched up a clutch of industry awards.
Manager Lynne Hetherington said: “The Byres Road salon has gone from strength to strength.
“However the aspiration has always been to open a salon in the city centre.
“We are turning away customers during peak periods in the Summer at our west end salon.
“The beauty industry is as vibrant as it was in 2003 when we opened up in Byres Road.
“However, over the years many beauty treatments have become less of a luxury item and more about necessity and affordability.
“We are particularly excited about the beauty academy. We want to pass on what we know to new therapists coming into the beauty industry.”
